About This Quote

The quote goes on to say that even in prose, you can be a poet. A few years ago I was watching a movie on television with my sister. The movie showed an artist painting a beautiful landscape. He was creating the scene without thinking of the words he might use to describe it, but rather of the emotions he wanted to convey with his painting.

It made me think of the power of poetry and how, like all art, it is created by an artist who is not thinking about anything other than what they are trying to express with their work. The quote also reminded me of how little I knew about poetry and how I should seek more knowledge about it.
